CHARLOTTE — After trading LaMelo Ball and bringing in Naz Reid, Grayson Allen, Dorian Finney-Smith and Royce O’Neale while keeping Coby White, the Hornets have reportedly unveiled a comprehensive blueprint for the next era of Charlotte basketball.
The blueprint consists primarily of arrows pointing upward.
“We wanted something fans could believe in immediately,” said one fictional team architect. “Actual win totals felt unnecessarily specific.”
Players gathered around a massive table featuring architectural models, depth charts and what appeared to be a miniature championship arena scheduled for completion sometime between 2027 and “eventually.”
Naz Reid was reportedly impressed by the plan, particularly the section where everyone simply becomes better at the same time.
Charlotte officials stressed that moving on from LaMelo represents a fresh beginning rather than another rebuild.
The organization has therefore requested that nobody count how many fresh beginnings there have been.
Construction begins immediately.
