The original post included lineup data, efficiency numbers, possession context, matchup information, and links to multiple sources supporting a relatively modest conclusion.
Three minutes later, another user responded with the five-word dismissal and a laughing emoji.
“There was really nowhere to go from there,” said one observer. “The market had spoken.”
Attempts to defend the original analysis were buried beneath replies including “casual,” “watch games,” and a photograph of a player making an exaggerated facial expression.
By the time the author removed the thread, the short reply had been screenshotted across several platforms as proof that the debate had been decisively won.
Researchers confirmed that evidence remains useful online until it encounters a sufficiently confident insult.
