Jalen Brunson is apparently expanding his New York résumé.
The Knicks star is set to appear on Law & Order: SVU, because being the face of one of the city’s biggest sports teams apparently wasn’t enough local employment.
Brunson has already spent years carrying the Knicks, winning over Madison Square Garden and becoming one of the most recognizable athletes in New York. Now he’s moving into television, presumably because there were still a few blocks in Manhattan where people hadn’t seen him yet.
The role also feels extremely on-brand. Brunson already spends most nights trying to convince officials that contact occurred, so the transition into investigative work should be seamless.
Knicks fans are already hoping his first case involves several suspicious playoff whistles.
At this rate, Brunson’s next offseason could include hosting the local news, opening a pizza shop and somehow becoming deputy mayor.
There may simply be no part of New York left for him to conquer.
