MIAMI — Giannis Antetokounmpo’s arrival in Miami has officially begun, with the Heat reportedly welcoming their new superstar through the traditional organizational greeting: unnecessary physical suffering before breakfast.

Players arrived at the beach expecting a light conditioning session.

Pat Riley was already standing there.

Nobody asked questions.

Giannis reportedly completed a series of weighted sprints, resistance drills and exercises that Heat staff insisted were technically still part of the warmup.

Bam Adebayo briefly asked when basketball practice would begin.

Riley stared toward the ocean until Bam withdrew the question.

Team sources say Giannis has impressed everyone with his conditioning, professionalism and alarming willingness to participate, creating concern that Miami may now be forced to invent harder workouts.

At sunrise, Riley finally dismissed the team.

Practice begins at 9.
