NEW YORK — NBA officials reassured fans Wednesday that legalized sports betting has not meaningfully changed the basketball experience during a press conference presented by Tonight’s Featured Same-Game Parlay.

“The integrity of competition remains our highest priority,” said a league executive as updated player-prop odds scrolled across the screen behind him.

Officials emphasized that gambling partnerships are kept separate from basketball decisions, except for commercials, broadcasts, studio segments, arena signage, mobile alerts, pregame shows, halftime shows, and several portions of the scoreboard.

The league said fans should continue enjoying games naturally rather than obsessing over individual statistical outcomes, before reminding viewers that one more rebound would unlock a promotional boost.

Broadcasters were instructed to avoid overemphasizing wagering information and instead mention it casually every time a player approaches a round number.

The NBA added that betting has helped increase engagement among fans who previously watched fourth quarters without screaming about backup centers securing defensive rebounds.

The press conference concluded when the moderator announced that the over had officially hit.
