MIAMI — Two NBA players reportedly resolved a long-running disagreement privately Wednesday before both immediately posted cryptic Instagram stories suggesting the matter was absolutely not resolved.
Sources said the players spoke for 20 minutes, shook hands, and agreed to move forward like adults.
Seven minutes later, one posted a black screen reading “LOYALTY REVEALS EVERYTHING,” while the other uploaded a photo of a wolf accompanied by three hourglass emojis.
Fans quickly assembled a timeline connecting the posts to an interview from 2024, an unfollow from last February, and a song lyric neither player wrote.
Team officials insisted there was no remaining issue and asked reporters not to interpret social media activity, effectively guaranteeing another six hours of interpretation.
Both players later denied that their posts referred to each other, explaining that the timing, wording, and matching emojis were entirely coincidental.
By dinner, the original disagreement had been forgotten and replaced by a larger argument about what the wolf meant.
