**NEW YORK** — The NBA announced Saturday the launch of RefPass+, a revolutionary subscription service that will finally allow basketball fans to experience correctly officiated games for just $14.99 per month.
The initiative marks a major shift in league policy, transforming accurate officiating from a basic expectation into an exclusive premium feature.
Under the free plan, fans will continue receiving the traditional NBA experience: missed travels, mysterious technical fouls, moving screens that apparently don't move, and 12-minute replay reviews that somehow arrive at the wrong conclusion.
Premium subscribers, meanwhile, will unlock correct foul calls, accurate out-of-bounds decisions, and instant replay reviews without six commercial breaks.
The $24.99 RefPass+ Ultimate package also includes a monthly personalized report titled **"Why Scott Foster Hates Your Team,"** featuring detailed explanations, historical grievances, and a breakdown of every suspicious whistle since 2008.
"We believe fans deserve the highest quality officiating experience," an imaginary league spokesperson explained. "We also believe they should pay extra for it."
The NBA confirmed that free-tier viewers will still be able to watch referees make correct decisions occasionally, although those moments will be supported by advertising.
Coaches wishing to challenge a call must now verify their subscription status before approaching the scorer's table.
The league insists the system will not affect competitive integrity, explaining that officials will continue calling games fairly whenever both fanbases have purchased the appropriate package.
A family plan is reportedly under development, allowing up to four household members to disagree with the same referee for one discounted price.
For fans unwilling to subscribe, the NBA promises nothing will change.
They'll still get the full 48 minutes.
Whether they'll get the correct calls is now a billing question.
