**MIAMI** — The Miami Heat announced Friday that the statue honoring Dwyane Wade outside Kaseya Center has received a major upgrade: it now features Dwyane Wade.

The breakthrough comes two years after the original bronze tribute was unveiled in October 2024, immediately sparking a nationwide investigation into whether anyone involved had ever seen Dwyane Wade.

The monument recreates Wade's iconic "This is my house" celebration following his 2009 game-winner against Chicago. Unfortunately, while the pose was accurate, the uniform was accurate, and the moment was unmistakable, the face appeared to belong to someone who had wandered into the wrong sculpture.

After extensive consultation, the original sculptors replaced the statue's head, achieving what Miami officials are presumably celebrating as the franchise's greatest facial-recognition breakthrough.

Wade approved the adjustment, explaining that he wanted fans to feel a stronger connection to the monument.

That connection has improved considerably now that visitors no longer need the plaque to identify the person being honored.

The Heat have reportedly celebrated the project as a rare example of a two-year rebuilding process producing exactly what was originally promised.

Tourists can now approach the statue without asking which former assistant coach it commemorates, while team historians are relieved that future generations will no longer need a multiple-choice quiz to identify the greatest player in franchise history.

The organization has not announced whether other statues around the league will undergo similar evaluations.

For now, Miami is simply enjoying a historic achievement.

Three NBA championships. Thirteen All-Star selections. One recognizable face.

Dwyane Wade finally has it all.
